Kabelmat supports regional conservation efforts with a donation to NABU Freudenstadt
Kabelmat is pleased to support NABU Freudenstadt with a donation of 1,000 euros. The presentation took place at the historic Rußhütte in Christophstal (Freudenstadt). A special location whose natural outdoor areas NABU will maintain and further develop in the future. In attendance were Eberhard Valtinke from NABU Freudenstadt, Hannes Mercker from the association’s communications team, and Eva Hagemann from Kabelmat’s marketing department.
At this location, NABU is committed to improving the habitat for various native animal species in the long term. A key element of this effort is a flowering meadow designed to attract insects. It forms the basis for an ecological balance around the Rußhütte, as bats in particular depend on a sufficient supply of insects. The goal of the project is for bats to permanently resettle in the Rußhütte in the future. In addition, a Benjes hedge and newly planted shrubs will be maintained to create additional habitats and refuges.
The donation will primarily be used to purchase tools and materials needed for regular maintenance work. In this way, Kabelmat is supporting a regional nature conservation project that strengthens both the historic Rußhütte and the biodiversity of the Christophstal valley.
NABU’s work is of great value, not only at the Rußhütte but throughout the entire region. Through the ongoing dedication of its members, the organization makes a decisive contribution to preserving natural areas, creating habitats, and promoting biodiversity in the long term.
